17 February; The Feast of Forsythia
Today, the entire community is holding festival in the village in honour of the maiden Forsythia, who three hundred years ago, drowned in the Black River trying to save the life of her lover. The Feast is really to celebrate young lovers, but all are welcome to indulge in too much food and drink and dance well into the wee hours. At midnight, gather on the riverbanks with that special someone and watch the fireworks.
